New Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta will be tasked with landing Mikel Arteta's top transfer targets this summer.
A striker, new central midfielder, winger and backup goalkeeper are all on the Italian's agenda. But sales will also form a crucial part of the club's business as the Gunners bid to maximise Arteta's spending power.

As many as 11 players could be in line for new chapters, starting with Raheem Sterling and veteran No. 2 goalkeeper Neto, who are both set to return to their parent clubs Chelsea and Bournemouth, respectively.
Then there are Arsenal's out-of-contract stars, at this stage, midfield duo Thomas Partey and Jorginho are in line to exit north London with the Italy international in ongoing talks with Brazilian giants Flamengo over a pre-contract agreement.
Left-back Kieran Tierney is also set to return to boyhood club Celtic on a free transfer. But Berta has been tasked with improving the transfer fees Arsenal receive when selling players.

In the past, they have been guilty of losing stars on the cheap and accepting offers below what they consider to be fair market value, though there was clear improvement last summer.
Oleksandr Zinchenko is expected to embark on a new challenge following Myles Lewis-Skelly's standout breakthrough season, and Borussia Dortmund were interested in the Ukrainian in January but never tabled an offer.
Fellow defender Jakub Kiwior, who replaced Gabriel early in Tuesday night's 2-1 victory over Fulham, is also likely to leave in pursuit of more regular game time.
The Poland international has drawn interest from a host of Italian clubs, with French heavyweights Marseille also reportedly keen.
On-loan Nuno Tavares is poised to make his move to Lazio permanent for a fee around £7.5m, while Sevilla have a £10m buy-option for Belgian midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga.
The La Liga side are eager to retain the former Luton Town loanee but are currently unlikely to activate the clause, hoping to negotiate a slightly lower price.

If they change their minds and pay the full amount, Arsenal would benefit from a 25 per cent sell-on clause, entitling them to a share of any future profit.
Reiss Nelson might also be on his way out, but his immediate focus is on recovering from hamstring surgery he underwent in February.
The 25-year-old has only made 13 appearances this season while on loan at Fulham, netting two goals across all competitions.

Arsenal briefly considered the option of recalling Fabio Vieira from his loan spell at FC Porto in January due to their injury woes, but it's doubtful he'll have a future at the club beyond this summer.
The Gunners had high expectations for the playmaker when he joined for £34.3m in July 2022, but his performance in Portugal this season has been underwhelming, with just five goals and four assists.
If Arsenal get the opportunity to recoup a reasonable fee in the coming months, they will surely take it, considering Vieira will only have two years left on his contract.

There are also uncertainties surrounding the futures of Leandro Trossard and Takehiro Tomiyasu - but both could still remain at the club.

The Belgian is rapidly nearing the final 12 months of his contract and received an offer from Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr last summer, which was outrightly rejected.
Arsenal intended to offer Trossard a new contract, but no agreement has been reached yet, fuelling rumours that they might instead sell him at the end of the season to help balance their finances.
Tomiyasu is still valued by Arteta but has only played six minutes all season due to a knee injury, and if he stays, he's likely to be lower down the pecking order.
