Moise Kean’s time at Everton was a disappointing one.
He played 39 times in all competitions for the Toffees and scored four goals. He was once substituted off by former manager Duncan Ferguson only 18 minutes after coming on during a game at Old Trafford against Manchester United.
In an interview with the Italian national team’s official channel Vivo Azzurro TV, the Fiorentina striker ha insisted that he has no regrets about his time at Merseyside.
He said, as relayed by FiorentinaUno: “My adventure in the Premier League with Everton was a great experience, even if in England it didn’t go the way I would have liked. But you can learn from everything and you can always get out of difficult moments.”
Speaking further, Kean also stated that the spells at Everton and Paris Saint-Germain opened his eyes.
“[Experiences] Abroad opened my eyes, I feel lucky to have played in France with so many champions like Mbappé, Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo.”
The Italian come across as much more mature now than he was during his time at Goodison Park, as it was his first experience of playing outside of Italy.
On top of that, Everton was not the most stable footballing institution at that point. That is perhaps why Kean has gone on to impress not just at Fiorentina, but also to an extent at Paris Saint-Germain, as he always had a quality to succeed.
The 25-year-old is now thriving in Serie A, scoring 16 goals for Fiorentina so far this season and being a rising star of Italy’s top flight.
