Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United could sign RB Leipzig attacking sensation Xavi Simons for just £50 million.

According to a report from Graeme Bailey TBR Football, Xavi Simons is set to part ways with RB Leipzig this summer, which could be a massive boost for clubs like Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United, who have been linked with the Dutch international for a while now.

Simons was a part of Barcelona’s famous youth academy La Masia before he made the move to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2019. Things did not really go according to plan for him at the French club, but he got his career back on track with a loan spell at PSV Eindhoven before joining RB Leipzig in the summer of 2023.

While the Dutchman initially joined the German club on a two-year loan deal, his move was made permanent in the last winter window. However, just months after completing his switch to Leipzig, he already appears to be on his way to a bigger club this summer.

Simons is ready to leave the Bundesliga giants, and his representatives are already working on a potential move away from the club. Manchester United, Arsenal, and Liverpool are all keen on signing him, and they have been informed about his potential availability.

Premier League giants to push for Simons

The 21-year-old attacking midfielder, who has 14 goal contributions in his 27 outings, this term could be a top-notch acquisition for all three clubs. At Liverpool, he could be the long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah, whose contract runs out at the end of the season.

Even if they do extend Salah’s stay, he won’t be around for long. Meanwhile, Simons’s versatility suggests he could be a great addition to their squad. Mikel Arteta wants more creativity, and the Dutch sensation could certainly be of help as he can cover for Martin Odegaard as well as feature on either flank.

Manchester United also seek more quality in the final third. With Bruno Fernandes linked with a move to Real Madrid, they need to be prepared for a situation where their skipper ends up leaving. Simons could be an ideal replacement for the Portuguese star.

Liverpool and Arsenal were both interested in him last summer, so it won’t be much of a surprise if they do make a move for him this summer. With Simons pushing for a move away, Leipzig could be willing to let him leave for just £50 million, which could prove to be a bargain fee for a player of his quality and potential. All three English clubs will certainly pounce on any opportunity to sign him for a cut-price fee.
