Manchester City fans still don’t know whether they are watching the final weeks of Kevin De Bruyne at the Etihad Stadium.
The Belgium international is out of contract this summer and speculation has been rife about his future for months now.
De Bruyne is open to extending his contract with Manchester City, but the club would need him to slash his current wages if he is to remain.
Nedum Onuoha has said Kevin De Bruyne is laid back about his future, so fans may not get an answer until the end of the season.
But we know that several clubs are interested in snapping De Bruyne up this summer.
And one potential destination for him could be Saudi Arabia – and one new club has made a beeline for the 33-year-old.

Neom SC open transfer talks with Kevin De Bruyne, they’ve had ‘very serious discussions’

It’s been claimed by French outlet Foot Mercato that Neom SC are now in contact with De Bruyne about a summer transfer.
This is a somewhat surprising development, because Neom currently play in the Saudi second division.
That said, they’re top of the table by eight points, with eight games left to play and stand a good chance of being promoted to the Saudi Pro League.
They are pushing to recruit De Bruyne on a free transfer, and are said to have held ‘very serious discussions’ with the maestro.
This comes after San Diego sporting director Tyler Heaps suggested (via The Sun) the MLS club may struggle to sign De Bruyne this summer due to wage demands.
Foot Mercato also report that, as well as Neom, there is interest from River Plate, Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe in De Bruyne.
But seemingly, it’s the wealthy Saudi outfit whose interest is currently the most advanced. So with San Diego unable to afford his wages, there are currently four clubs keen to snap up De Bruyne this summer.
What De Bruyne has said about possible Saudi Arabia transfer
It remains to be seen what will happen with De Bruyne this summer but it seems he is not short of options.
A potential move to Saudi Arabia has been touted for a while now.
Some felt that he would never go there.
After all, it had been suggested De Bruyne didn’t really want to uproot his young family.
But De Bruyne admitted last year that he’d be open to playing in Saudi, saying: “At my age, you have to be open to everything. You talk about unbelievable amounts in what may be the end of my career. Sometimes you have to think about that.
“If I play there for two years, I will be able to earn an incredible amount of money.”
Whatever his decision, De Bruyne will get the blessing of City fans. He’s a legend of the club, and has earned the right to do whatever he pleases with his contract expiring in the summer.
