Tottenham, Liverpool and Manchester United the barriers as Los Blancos eye €100m+ worth of deals

Tottenham, Liverpool and Manchester United are seen as potential barriers for Real Marid this summer as they eye up €100m worth of deals.

That’s [at least according to Sport](https://www.sport.es/es/noticias/real-madrid/huijsen-hincapie-lideran-casting-centrales-115992226), who say Madrid are determined to improve their options this summer and have a big spend in their plans.

Fixing their defensive issues is the main focus and they have been combing the market for months to identify centre backs to target in the coming months.

Bournemouth’s Dean Huijsen is the most discussed at this moment in time and the Cherries are willing to hold an auction for him to get the most out of a transfer, despite him having a €50m release clause in his deal.

Then there is Bayer Leverkusen’s Piero Martín Hincapié, who has been impressing under Xabi Alonso during his two years in charge in Germany. Madrid hope if they hire the Spaniard as Carlo Ancelotti’s replacement, he’ll convince him to move to Spain.

Liverpool, Tottenham and Manchester United have all expressed their interest in the defender, though, as he has a €50m release clause in his contract too.

All three Premier League clubs could stand in Madrid’s way then, should they turn their interest into something more concrete.

That’s the same for Huijsen, with Liverpool, Tottenham and Manchester United all credited with an interest in him too over the last few months. Hincapié has been linked with all three for the best part of three years.

It will ultimately depend on the players and if Madrid actually decide to spent €100m on both players, something we’d find hard to believe.
