Manchester United and Manchester City have both had their final Premier League point totals predicted.
United and City had contrasting fortunes upon their return to top-flight action this week after the international break. The Reds were beaten 1-0 by Nottingham Forest at the City Ground, while City claimed a 2-0 victory over Leicester City at the Etihad Stadium.
Ruben Amorim and Pep Guardiola both have eight games left to prepare for in the Premier League this season, starting with the Manchester derby on Sunday afternoon.
United also have the Europa League to contend with, while City have an FA Cup semi-final to look forward to against this season's surprise package Forest.
With eight matches left to play, in the Premier League, a fresh prediction has emerged - claiming exactly where United and City will finish in the final standings.
Opta Analyst have updated their predicted table, and have tipped United to finish in 13th place with 47 (47.43) points to their name.
Should their prediction be accurate, that would mean United wouldn't qualify for Europe next season via their league position - meaning it would have to be secured by winning the Europa League. The prediction has, also, given United a zero percent chance of qualifying or Europe via their position in the Premier League table.
For City, Guardiola's squad. have been predicted to maintain their current fourth-place position and qualify for the Champions League. City are tipped to finish with 66 (66.45) points, which would be ahead of Newcastle in fifth (65) and Chelsea in sixth (63).
The victory over Leicester in midweek also boosted City's chances of qualifying for the Champions League. The prediction states that City have a 56.18 per cent chance of qualifying for Europe's elite cup competition for next season.
