David Moyes could make two changes to his Everton starting 11 for their Premier League encounter with Arsenal this weekend.

Everton will have left Anfield disappointed after their 1-0 defeat to Liverpool, which ended their impressive nine-game unbeaten run in the league.

However, despite the defeat, Premier League safety remains all but nailed on for Everton, leaving them with very little to play for ahead of the final eight games of the season.

The Toffees are simply playing for their own pride between now and the end of the campaign, and with that in mind, Moyes could make two changes to his starting 11 in an attempt to get his side back to winning ways.

Moyes to make two changes for Everton

Everton are certainly the underdogs heading into this encounter, though there is unlikely to be wholesale changes made to the team.

MORE TOFFEES STORIES

Jordan Pickford will retain his place in the starting 11, with an unchanged defensive line in front of him, though Moise may count himself fortunate that he will be afforded the opportunity to do that.

James Tarkowski was a lucky boy to escape a red card in the Merseyside derby. He is expected to retain his place in the team alongside Jarrod Branthwaite.

Vitalii Mykolenko and Jake O’Brien should occupy the two full-back roles, making up the Everton back four.

A midfield two of James Garner and Idrissa Gueye could prove to be crucial for Everton in their attempt to secure a result against Arsenal, with some defensive solidity likely to be needed in the centre of the park.

Jack Harrison unlikely to start v Arsenal

Jack Harrison is expected to drop out of the starting 11, having failed to impress in the clash against Liverpool or throughout the season, and he may have started his last game for the Toffees as a result.

Everton have all but sealed Premier League safety.

His omission could see Iliman Ndiaye make his return to the starting 11 after he was introduced as a second-half substitute at Anfield.

Jesper Lindstrom should also come back into the team, replacing Abdoulaye Doucoure, with Beto leading the line for Moyes’ side.
