“Now He Gets Help”: Green Bay Packers Select Oregon Ducks Defensive Star In Latest 2025 NFL…

One of the biggest needs for this team will be on the defensive line. Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst mentioned during the owners meetings that he believes in the current defensive line group. The truth is, Gutekunst probably knows he needs to make another move at that position before the 2025 NFL season begins.

Charles Davis of nfl.com created his latest mock draft for 2025. He has the Packers selecting Derrick Harmon, a defensive tackle from the Oregon Ducks in the 2025 NFL Draft. There is no doubt that this selection would help Green Bay in the trenches moving forward. Davis said,

“Packers DC Jeff Hafley did a terrific job in his first season in Titletown. Now he gets help for three-time Pro Bowl DT Kenny Clark. However, if Green Bay wants to address the other side of the line first, North Dakota State’s Grey Zabel would be a great fit as a versatile piece for the interior.”

Clark struggled during the 2024 NFL season. Also, if the Packers decided to draft Zabel over Harmon, there would be a lot of Green Bay fans questioning Gutekunst. It would be the second straight year that the Packers would have drafted an offensive lineman in the first-round.

Harmon is 6’5″ and weighs 310 lbs. During the 2024 college football season with Oregon, he recorded 45 tackles, five sacks, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and two pass deflections. He and Clark would be a very good pairing on the defensive line for Green Bay.
