Gary Neville was left puzzled when his former Manchester United colleague Wayne Rooney admitted to listening to Elon Musk on a podcast.
The issue of video gaming was raised in a recent episode of the Stick to Football podcast, following Jill Scott's mention of Alan Shearer's remarks about Ousmane Dembele's inconsistent performances during his time at Barcelona.
The Frenchman, who has been performing exceptionally well for Paris Saint-Germain this season, is a stark contrast to his time in Spain where he was plagued by injuries and unable to demonstrate his remarkable skills.
The 27-year-old reportedly spent nights playing video games, a topic that Neville addressed, stating it's a significant problem for young people and one he witnessed during his time with the England team.
"It's a big problem for young people now and players to be fair because of that time that they have," the former England defender commented. "They play till 2/3 o'clock in the morning all together and it happened with England quite a bit when lads would stay up all night.
"I think you end up being a little bit like a zombie. I think it damages you and makes you more tired." Rooney interjected into the discussion, only managing to say: "I was listening to Elon Musk" before Neville abruptly asked him "Why".
This interruption caused Ian Wright and Jill Scott to burst into laughter, while Roy Keane offered a sly grin, reports the Mirror. The former forward couldn't help but laugh before adding: "I was listening to a podcast and he was talking about how playing Playstation actually improves your output."

Yet, the Arsenal legend seemed unconvinced by the tech entrepreneur's remarks, making it clear with his response: "I don't care, if it's coming out of his mouth, I'm not having it."
Musk shared insights into the benefits of gaming during an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, revealing: "If I play a video game on Extreme difficulty... I have to concentrate fully on the game," also noting that such intense focus tends to have a "has a calming effect" for him.
Musk went on to discuss the quick reflexes required for high-speed gaming, saying: "In order to be good at [fast-paced] video games...look at this, 32% fewer errors, 24% faster and scored 26% better overall than their non-player colleagues. You've got like 10 milliseconds to react...and if your keystrokes...are wrong, you lose the game."
