Man United fans send message to Ineos after watching what Victor Osimhen did for Galatasaray

Victor Osimhen is one of many names on Manchester United’s shopping list for the summer transfer window.

Manchester United’s goalscoring problems were exposed once again during the recent 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest.

Ruben Amorim sees Joshua Zirkzee as a No.10 rather than a sole striker, but the Dutchman was given the nod to start up front ahead of Rasmus Hojlund at City Ground.

The Dane eventually came off the bench but he failed to make an impact and actually Hojlund was outshone by Harry Maguire.

Amorim sent a message to Ineos by bringing on Maguire as a makeshift striker for the final few minutes – investment is needed, especially when it comes to a star striker.

Man United fans react to Victor Osimhen goal for Galatasaray

United have regularly scouted Victor Osimhen this season ahead of a potential deal in the summer. The 26-year-old is currently on loan at Galatasaray but is expected to make a permanent move once he returns to Napoli.

Osimhen has scored a staggering 28 goals for Galatasaray this season and he added two to his tally against Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce on Wednesday.

Osimhen opened the scoring after just nine minutes and United fans on social media were paying close attention. He later added a second from the penalty spot.

One United supporter on X wrote: “He’s coming in the summer.”

A second United fan agreed, writing: “See him at theatres of dream soon”.

Another fan decided to keep his response short and sweet by just tagging the Ineos account, urging United’s owners to get a deal over the line.

One fan decided to draw comparisons between Osimhen and Hojlund – who has struggled to find the back of the net this season – “Hojlund could never…”

Finally, one United fan posted “Would do anything for Osimhen at United…” fans are eager to see the Nigerian in red next season.

How much would Man United have to pay for Victor Osimhen?

It has been made public that United won’t have the biggest budget this summer with Sir Jim Ratcliffe confirming United were going bust by the end of 2025 before cost-cutting measures were implemented.

However, Amorim needs to be backed with a top-class striker and Osimhen certainly fits the bill.

Osimhen dreams of playing in the Premier League and United can make that come true this summer, but his signature won’t come cheap.

A CaughtOffside report in October claimed Napoli want £68m for Osimhen after dropping their price tag down from over £100m.

But with Napoli interested in Alejandro Garnacho, it has also been suggested that a swap deal could be on the cards.
