Chelsea, Man Utd and Arsenal stars expected: Predicting the EA Sports FC 25 WSL tots

Summary

Team of the Season is just around the corner in EA Sports FC 25.

Chelsea are on course to win their sixth title in a row and are predicted to have several TOTS inclusions.

Hannah Hampton, Lucy Bronze and Erin Cuthbert are all predicted to be included.

Women's football is consistently growing around the world. England felt that rise in 2022 when the Lionesses won the Euros by beating Germany 2-1 in the final at Wembley. The Women's Super League (WSL) is now an increasingly competitive division, with Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal trying to compete for the title.

This campaign, it looks like Chelsea are on course to win the title for the sixth season in a row under new manager Sonia Bompastor. They are currently unbeaten, with Arsenal – managed by Renee Slegers after Jonas Eidevall departed in October 2024 – close behind. With the season coming to a close, thoughts are starting to turn towards deciding the Team of the Season (TOTS) in real life and EA Sports FC 25.

In EAFC 25, the promo celebrates the league's best-performing players from the season, giving them boosted cards that are all considered overpowered. We have decided to try to predict the WSL TOTS, which is expected to be released on Friday, May 2nd. In EAFC 24, one main WSL starting 11 was released, so we have done the same for our predictions.

EA Sports FC 25 Premier League Team of the Season Prediction

Liverpool are expected to have several players included in the EA Sports FC 25 Premier League TOTS.

Defenders

Leaders Chelsea have been defensively secure

There's a clear gap between the WSL's four biggest teams — Arsenal, Man Utd, Man City and Chelsea — compared to the rest of the field. Every predicted player is from those four clubs, and that begins in goal with Chelsea's Hannah Hampton, who is preferred over Man Utd's Phallon Tullis-Joyce.

Hampton has started all 18 WSL matches for Chelsea, becoming their first-choice goalkeeper after a transition year last season. She has consistently performed in between the sticks, not only making world-class saves but also offering a passing option from deep. She's now in contention to be England's first-choice goalkeeper for this summer's Euros.

Ahead of her, teammates Lucy Bronze and Millie Bright join her. The Blues have conceded just 13 goals in 18 matches – the second-least in the division, behind Man Utd (nine) – and that's partially due to the experience of right-back Bronze and centre-back Bright. Bronze only joined in the summer from Barcelona, but the former Man City player has quickly readjusted to life back in England. Bright, Chelsea's captain, has led by example and used her experience to guide them through any tricky moments.

The 31-year-old Chelsea captain is joined by Man Utd's Maya Le Tissier. As the current captain of the club as well, she has directed the defence to be nearly unstoppable, conceding the fewest goals in the division so far. Meanwhile, Arsenal had a slow start to the season, but they are now clicking.

Katie McCabe, who has been at the Gunners since 2015, has been as reliable as ever, bombing up and down the left flank to provide a defensive and attacking threat. Man City's Alex Greenwood would have been an obvious candidate for this prediction, but she suffered an MCL injury in December, which has ruled her out since. The Citizens have collapsed since and miss her experience and leadership.

EA Sports FC 25 Ligue 1 Team of the Season Prediction

Paris Saint-Germain dominate the predicted Ligue 1 TOTS in EA Sports FC 25 as they are on course to cruise to the title.

Midfielders

Jess Park and Grace Clinton are the future of England's midfield

In the middle of the park, it's a dominant performance from British stars. England are hoping to retain their Euros crown this summer in Switzerland — and duo Jess Park and Grace Clinton will play a key role in that. Man City's Park has had a meteoric rise in recent years and is now a key cog in the system for them. She's played 17 WSL matches this season, scoring four and assisting one in the process, as she acts like a workhorse in the middle of the park.

The same can be said for Man Utd's Clinton slightly further forward. After being named Young Player of the Year last campaign on loan at Tottenham, the playmaker has taken to life back at Man Utd with confidence. The 22-year-old has scored seven in 17 WSL matches so far, often dancing around defenders effortlessly. She's the future of England's midfield alongside Park and she's showcased that this campaign.

To conclude the midfield trio, Chelsea's Erin Cuthbert has gone under the radar despite another impressive campaign. The 26-year-old central midfielder quickly impressed new Blues manager Bompastor, and she's even popped up in the right place at the right time to seal some crucial points. Away to Man City, she scored a late winner to put the Blues on the verge of the title once again.

EA Sports FC 25 La Liga Team of the Season Prediction

We have predicted the La Liga TOTS in EA Sports FC 25, with Real Madrid and Barcelona unsurprisingly dominating the list.

Attackers

Arsenal have scored the most goals in the WSL

There are so many world-class attackers in the WSL. Choosing just three for this team was incredibly challenging. Bethany England has had an impressive campaign with Tottenham, whilst Lauren James and Guro Reiten – who were included in the EAFC 25 TOTY – are also not predicted for this TOTS.

If this TOTS was done purely on talent, James would be included, but she missed the first half of the season through injury. Arsenal's Mariona Caldentey takes the predicted spot instead. The 29-year-old joined from Barcelona during the summer, and she has taken to life in N5 like a duck to water. She's scored seven and picked up four assists in 17 matches, helping Arsenal bounce back under new manager Slegers.

She's joined by her teammate, Alessia Russo. The 26-year-old had a challenging first season at Arsenal after joining from Man Utd in the summer of 2023, but now she is firing on all cylinders. England's first-choice forward has scored 11 in 18 WSL matches – the second-most in the division – and she seems to bring Arsenal's attack together. Her ability to drop deep but also act as a poacher has been crucial to a now-clicking Arsenal side.

Finally, Khadija 'Bunny' Shaw is predicted to be the final TOTS attacker this year. She's the WSL's top goalscorer with 12, despite already missing four matches through injury. The 28-year-old striker was included in the EAFC 25 TOTY — and her position in the TOTS seems all but guaranteed. When she has been unavailable, Man City have not looked like their old selves, which speaks volumes about her talent and experience. There are likely to be more WSL attackers, potentially James and Reiten, available through Squad Building Challenges (SBCs), as they are seen to be 'meta' within the gaming community.
