SDNA's Tolis Kotzias caught up with him at Madison Square Garden, just before his team, the Philadelphia 76ers, faced off against the New York Knicks. The Knicks won 105-91, with Walker contributing 11 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists for Philly.

"It’s been good, you know, some ups and downs with injury recovery and similar things, but I’m just trying to make the most of the opportunity," the 24-year-old guard described his comeback to the world's top basketball league.

The former Zalgiris player had signed with the Lithuanian club on October 31 and moved to the 76ers on February 21, taking advantage of his NBA opt-out clause.

When asked about the NBA vs. EuroLeague debate, Walker was crystal clear: "I love my home. I’m from America. I will always say NBA. However, the EuroLeague was a fantastic experience—the passion, the competition, the players. It was in no way disappointing, but I love my country and the NBA."

Speaking about his time with Zalgiris, he had only great things to say: "My experience in Zalgiris was beautiful. The fans were amazing. Every EuroLeague game was sold out. They showed me love from day one. I can’t help but respect them. Zalgiris will always have a place in my heart for the rest of my life."

Walker also highlighted how much Andrea Trinchieri helped him improve: "Trinchieri is an excellent coach. He pushed me to be better. He tried to help me evolve and improve my game every step of the way."

Although now back in the NBA, Walker has fond memories of EuroLeague. With the 76ers struggling with injuries and unlikely to advance in the playoffs, he still keeps an eye on European basketball.

"Panathinaikos and Olympiacos are the favorites to win the EuroLeague," he declared.

"They play the game the right way. Sasha Vezenkov and Evan Fournier are incredible players."

The recent news of Kendrick Nunn’s massive contract extension with Panathinaikos made waves across the basketball world, and Walker was well informed.

"Nunn deserved his contract extension. He is undoubtedly one of the best players in EuroLeague, if not the best. Over there, they have embraced him and treat him well. He has faced challenges and ups and downs, but it feels like he found his home. He found a place where they love and respect him. He’s doing an amazing job."

Walker left a lasting impression during his time with Žalgiris. Could he return to Europe, given that his contract has a team option?

"Time will tell, I guess," was his brief response.
