Houston Rockets shooting guard Jalen Green and entrepreneur Draya Michele are proud parents to a daughter.
The couple, first linked in August 2023, have largely remained low-key but have shared glimpses of their journey together. Green and Michele have also kept their baby’s name and face private while offering small insights into their life as parents.
Their love and excitement for their daughter was evident from the start.
“We are overjoyed to share our love for you, little girl,” Michele wrote in her pregnancy announcement in March 2024. "We are anxious about your arrival, but take your time — this world can be tough. But know you are being brought into a space of love, security, and adornment.”
Two months later, the former Basketball Wives LA star gave birth to their first child together in May 2024. Since then, Green has embraced his role wholeheartedly, often sharing how much his daughter means to him.
“Fatherhood is great, I cannot complain,” he said on SportsTalk 790 on media day later that October. “My baby is beautiful, healthy, she’s amazing.”

Green and Michele welcomed their daughter on May 12, 2024, which also happened to be Mother's Day.
Five days later, the Mint Swim founder announced that she and the Houston Rockets star were officially parents. In an emotional Instagram post featuring a photo of the newborn’s tiny feet, Michele shared how the birth date held a bittersweet meaning.
“In 2021, on Mother’s Day, my dad passed away,” she wrote. “Since then, it’s been extremely hard to celebrate ... This Mother’s Day was different. My daughter was safely brought into this world and I’m forever grateful for the new memories we all get to experience moving forward.”
She has two older brothers

Michele’s daughter is the youngest of her three children, with two older brothers, Kniko Howard and Jru Scandrick.
Michele welcomed her first son, Kniko, in 2002 when she was 17. Kniko keeps a low profile but has been spotted with his mom at industry events. In the summer of 2021, she excitedly shared that he was starting college at Georgia State University in Atlanta.
“Well. It’s official. I’m a college mom,” she wrote on Instagram. “I’m so proud of you son!!!!!! College whew 😥 I mean I knew you’d make it here. I hope you grow, learn, make new friends here in ATL SHAWTY ♥️ I love you.”
Her second son, Jru, was born in 2016 during her relationship with former NFL player Orlando Scandrick. Pronounced "Drew," he was welcomed into a blended family that included his half-siblings from Scandrick’s previous relationship.
While Michele keeps Jru’s life mostly private, she has shared glimpses of their bond, including a candy-making class in December 2024 with brother Kniko.

In March 2024, Green delivered one of the best performances of his career, leading the Houston Rockets to a 137-114 victory over the Washington Wizards. The shooting guard scored 42 points, tying his career high and helping the Rockets secure their sixth consecutive win.
During a post-game interview, Green was asked about the driving force behind his standout play.
“My family, my baby,” he said, highlighting how his daughter was a powerful source of inspiration on and off the court.
She helped her mom celebrate her birthday

Michele celebrated her birthday in January 2025 with a vacation that included her two younger kids. The family headed to the Garza Blanca Resort and Spa in Mexico for some sun and sea.
Photos from the getaway show the little girl being hoisted in the air by her mom as they enjoyed pool time. Kniko was also captured frolicking in the surf while holding a beach pail and sipping a frosty beverage at the swim-up pool bar.
Michele captioned the birthday escapade, “Sunrise colored life.”
