Everton Women head into the international break with a host of players heading off to represent their countries as head coach Brian Soresen reflected on a hard fought battle against Manchester United that eventually saw them fall to defeat.

The loss came off the back of a euphoric week for the Blues with a 3-0 win to Crystal Palace the week before, but it's that positivity that they will be carrying with them into the break.

The defeat on the pitch however does come with positivity off the pitch, with renewed hope that the team could move into Goodison Park once the men's side has moved to Bramley Moore Dock.

Here's the latest EFC Women's news:

Renewed hope for potential move into Goodison Park

Everton Women have reinforced positivity about a move out of Walton Hall Park and into Goodison Park once the men's side moves to the new stadium on Bramley-Moore Dock.

The Friedkin Group, have initiated a feasibility study to explore this option, with Everton executive chairman Marc Watts reportedly telling staff on Tuesday that the owners are dedicated to securing the best home for the women's side.

Blues called up to international duty

A total of 13 of Everton's squad have been called up to international duty, with some even coming up against each other.

Sara Holmgaard and Hayley Ladd will face each other as Denmark face Wales for a UEFA Nations League clash on Friday 4 April, Courtney Brosnan and Heather Payne will be up against Blues teammate Veatriki Sarri as the Republic of Ireland and Greece prepare for a double-header while Kelly Gago and Maren Mjelde go up against each other as Norway face France on Tuesday 8 April (6pm BST) in the Nations League.

The rest of Everton's international players heading out on duty are Clare Wheeler (Australia), Emma Watson (Scotland), Justine Vanhaevermaet (Belgium), Katja Snoeijs (Netherlands). Karoline Olesen and Martina Fernandez will also be representing Denmark and Spain's Under 23s respectively.

Not letting United defeat break momentum

Karoline Olesen reflected on the Blues' loss to United but insisted they will remain positive over the international break.

They head to the blue side of Manchester after the break when they play Manchester City.

She told evertontv after the defeat: "We're coming up with some good performances, so we want to do well. We obviously had our hopes up for points and we didn't get there today, and playing against the strong side is always hard."

On playing Manchester City after the break, Olesen said: "I think everyone loves playing these games. So I love going against opponents because that's when you can surprise, when you can show that you can do this well.

"And I think like we saw in December, we had a good result [in Manchester] and hopefully we can do that again."
