Arsenal are set to sign a striker in the summer transfer window as they look to add what could be the final piece in their (hopefully) Premier League title-winning side next season.

Mikel Arteta has already said that they are due to have a “big” summer transfer window, as they have been linked to signing the likes of Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak and Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres who could command hefty transfer fees.
Another striker who has been linked with a move to the Emirates is Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike. He has also been linked to Liverpool and West Ham in recent weeks.
Ekitike was previously at Paris Saint-Germain before moving to Frankfurt in July 2024 for a fee of £14m. He has since scored 19 goals in 39 games for the Bundesliga side this season.
Silvestre says Arsenal target Ekitike is a “huge threat”
As Arsenal have been linked to signing the 22-year-old, former Premier League defender Mikael Silvestre has said that Ekitike is ready for a move to join one of the interested clubs in England this summer.
He told 10Bet: “Well, he had a bit of a false start at PSG. The competition for places was too much. And when you are 19 or 20, you need to be playing. He only had about 10 starts, so it was a difficult first step. We thought he might get a little bit lost, but he managed to make that move to Eintracht Frankfurt and has started to show what he’s all about as a player.”
“You have so many young French players who have been successful in Bundesliga, that made Frankfurt an obvious choice, and Frankfurt has been playing some good attacking football like most teams at the top of the Bundesliga.
“He’s improved. I think he’s matured. It was difficult for sure. PSG had to take a big hit on the transfer fee, but Ekitike has stayed focused and bounced back. He has delivered goals and assists for Eintracht; he’s a real threat. I’m not surprised he’s on a lot of radars in the Premier League and elsewhere. He will be in demand this summer, for sure.”
