The longstanding tension between Markieff Morris and Nikola Jokic has resurfaced, with Morris recently making controversial remarks about the Denver Nuggets' star center.

During an appearance on ESPN's 'First Take,' Morris stated, "I'm still not gonna say [Nikola Jokic] is top 20 right now."

This comment harks back to a heated incident between the two players in November 2021. During a game between the Denver Nuggets and the Miami Heat, Jokic retaliated against Morris with a forceful shove after Morris delivered a hard foul.

The altercation led to a one-game suspension for Jokic and a $50,000 fine for Morris. The incident also sparked a social media exchange between the Jokic and Morris families, further intensifying the feud.

Despite Morris's recent comments, Jokic's performance on the court tells a compelling story. As of the 2024-2025 NBA season, the Serbian big man is averaging a triple-double, a feat achieved by only two other players in NBA history: Oscar Robertson and Russell Westbrook.

His leadership has propelled the Nuggets to a 47-30 record, placing them fourth in the Western Conference.
