Manchester City star Jack Grealish paid tribute to his late brother Keelan after scoring his first Premier League goal of the campaign in the victory over Leicester City.
The 2024/25 season has been a tough one for Grealish as he has struggled to get himself into Pep Guardiola's plans. However, he needed less than two minutes after being entrusted by Guardiola to make his mark, finishing off a lovely move to open the scoring.
In his enthusiastic celebrations, Grealish was seen pointing to the sky in a tribute to his brother Keelan who died on April 2, 2000. In his post-match interview, an emotional Grealish said: "I felt like I deserved to play tonight and I was just happy.
"It was a nice day because my little brother passed away 25 years ago today. So this day is always hard in the family.
"My mum and dad were here and I think this day is always difficult in the family so to score and to win is brilliant." After the game, Grealish took to social media to add: "With me always especially this day, that was for you Keelan."
At the time of writing, Grealish's post had received more than 285,000 likes on the social media platform and several people from the world of football sent their best wishes including Oleksandr Zinchenko, Jacob Ramsey and John Terry.
Reflecting further on his season to date, Grealish admitted that he had seen comparisons to the last campaign when it comes to his minutes on the pitch.

"I think it was actually the same last year - I didn't go in the national team in March, then I played a lot, at (Crystal) Palace and Real Madrid home and away," he concluded. "I ended up playing a lot in April.
"At the moment it's difficult because we have so many players, especially in the attacking areas, and I think every single one of us is fit, apart from Erling (Haaland). It's going to be difficult, but I'm ready when called upon."
Next up for City and Grealish is a trip to fierce rivals Manchester United in the Premier League.
