Brighton man admits he has decision to make in summer – Injury is still bothering him

Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Julio Enciso has admitted that the knee injury he suffered recently is continuing to cause him problems and may lead to a big decision in the summer.

[Versus have a brief interview](https://x.com/SomosVersusPY/status/1907832908535976416) with the midfielder today as he continues to impress at Ipswich Town, who he joined on loan in the January transfer window.

The 21-year-old joined Kieran McKenna’s side from Brighton until the end of the season in the hope of securing regular first-team football that wasn’t on offer with the Seagulls.

He’s had that so far, with six appearances in all competition to date and 344 minutes in total an upgrade on what he was managing with Brighton.

There had been a threat that his loan spell could prove to be a disastrous one though when he picked up a knee injury in the middle of February that saw him miss 19 games and four games for Ipswich until he returned in March.

There had been fears the Brighton man would need surgery on the issue and he admits he may need to make a decision in the coming months.

“Yes, yes, the truth is that it still bothers me a bit,” he said when asked about wearing tape in the area.

“In the scan it came out that I’ve got another one on the little thing there. Hopefully I can finish the season well but, if it hurts me and something happens, well, I’ll have to make a decision.

“For now, it’s (the tape), just for safety and so that I feel comfortable too, because I feel that my knee doesn’t feel stable like that, so that’s all.”
