The newly appointed Ambassador of New Zealand handed over the copy of his credentials to the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia

On 2 April, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Mnatsakan Safaryan received Mark Julian Trainor, the Ambassador of New Zealand to the Republic of Armenia (residence in Moscow), on the occasion of handing over the copy of credentials.
Deputy Foreign Minister Safaryan congratulated the newly appointed Ambassador on the assumption of his mission and expressed his wishes for efficient activities towards further development of bilateral ties.
The parties underlined that the two countries build their relations on the basis of shared democratic principles and values.
The interlocutors expressed readiness to enhance the cooperation in various fields of mutual interest and highlighted the efforts aimed at creating opportunities for business contacts.
Both sides emphasised the positive dynamics of cooperation within the framework of international organizations.
Mnatsakan Safaryan briefed Ambassador Trainor on the position of the Armenian side regarding the process of establishing peace and interstate relations with Azerbaijan, as well as the "Crossroads of Peace" initiative developed by the Government of the Republic of Armenia and touched upon broader regional developments.
