Liverpool FC has announced when it will release the Nike Airmax range.

Last month, the club officially announced their new kit deal with Adidas from 2025/26.

After months of speculation, the deal was made public last month and is set to begin from the first of August 1, 2025 with the club’s current deal with Nike set to run till July 31st.

The new deal will see the iconic three stripes return to Anfield after more than a decade apart, bringing an end to Liverpool’s current five-year relationship with Nike.

The American sports wear brand became Liverpool’s kit suppliers in 2020 after taking over from New Balance. Since then, they have produced some memorable kits.

However, it is hard to argue Adidas’ standing among supporters, given the nostalgia that comes with the German kit suppliers.

The German sportswear manufacturer first supplied Liverpool kits from 1985 to 1996, a golden period that saw the club secure three league titles and multiple domestic cups while sporting some of their most iconic designs.

The second partnership ran from 2006 to 2012, coinciding with memorable moments including the 2007 Champions League final appearance and the dramatic 2006 FA Cup final victory over West Ham.

Many supporters consider the Adidas kits from these periods among the most beloved in the club’s illustrious history, with certain designs achieving cult status among the fanbase.

However, before the new deal officially kicks in, Nike and Liverpool are set for ‘one last dance,’ which will come in the form of a new Air Max collaboration.

In yesterday’s derby against Everton, the club and Nike teased the new range, with Liverpool players rocking a new pre-match shirt, embellished with the famous ‘Air Max’ logo.

In a post by the club’s retail store on X, it was announced that the Airmax collection will be released on April 9th, 2025.

It is yet unclear what items will be part of the Airmax range. But it is highly anticipated that a special edition shirt will be among the items released.

Liverpool’s deal with Adidas is reportedly worth more than £60 million per season.
