Everton could face a battle to keep hold of star defender Jarrad Branthwaite this summer after he’s been linked with several top clubs.
The 22-year-old, who made his England debut against Bosnia and Herzegovina last June, has made 65 appearances for the Merseyside giants over the past couple of campaigns.
Football Insider revealed on 4 March Everton will “do everything” to keep Branthwaite at the club with a new deal.
David Moyes’s side are planning contract talks with the centre-back as they attempt to tie him down to an improved, long-term deal.
Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid are among the sides keen on Branthwaite, whose current deal expires in June 2027.
Sky Sports reported on 24 March the defender is expected to consider his Everton future after being left out of Thomas Tuchel’s first England squad last month.

Everton could bank significant Jarrad Branthwaite profit
Borson revealed Everton could bank a significant profit on Branthwaite after he signed from Carlisle United for £1million in 2020.
He told Football Insider: “He seems to have had a good season.
“He’s probably looking at £60million-plus for a player his age.
“You would think they wouldn’t want to sell because they’ve already got a lot to do this summer.
“The only thing that may sway that is because he would be profitable to sell as a youth player, that can generate a very chunky profit that they could then reinvest.
“They may decide to take that difficult decision.
“My gut feel is that they won’t because it would just send the wrong message.”
