'Crazy': Sandro Tonali says Bruno Guimaraes does something in training every week that's…

Sandro Tonali has admitted that he absolutely loves Newcastle United teammate Bruno Guimaraes.

The duo are inseparable in midfield for Newcastle United, with both players playing a key role in the Magpies ending their trophy drought.

They also helped Newcastle beat Brentford on Wednesday night, with Sandro Tonali scoring the winner. It was an outrageous strike, but the Italy international has admitted that he was actually trying to put a cross into the box.

After finding the back of the net, Sandro Tonali was serenaded by the Toon Army, just days after being serenaded by Bruno Guimaraes.

During the Carabao Cup celebrations, Bruno hijacked the microphone at the Town Moor and bellowed out Tonali’s first Toon chant. He sang about Tonali’s love for spaghetti and Moretti, and his hatred for Sunderland, much to the amusement of every Newcastle United supporter.

Newcastle United have the Premier League’s best midfield

It is clear that Tonali and Bruno have an excellent relationship off the pitch. Bruno supported Tonali a lot during his suspension, and has continued to do so ever since.

They also have an incredible relationship on the pitch. They understand each other’s games perfectly, boasting the type of chemistry that has turned Newcastle United into trophy winners and Champions League contenders.

Throw Joelinton into the mix, and you can make a strong argument that Eddie Howe boasts the best midfield three in the entire Premier League.

At the start of the season, Newcastle were struggling for balance in midfield. Howe deployed his current trio, but it was not quite clicking.

That all changed when Tonali moved to the ‘six’ and Bruno became an ‘eight’. In truth, that was the moment that sparked the Magpies’ season into life.

As they say, the rest is history. And as Bruno says, ‘Sandro, ole, ole, ole’!
