Broncos Listed as Potential Fit for Free Agent Wide Receiver

The Denver Broncos were among the biggest surprises last season. They entered the season with a projected win total of 5.5, tied for second-fewest in the NFL behind only the New England Patriots. Denver wound up finishing 10-7 and reaching the postseason for the first time since 2015.

The Broncos have solidified their roster this offseason, notably adding Talanoa Hufanga, Dre Greenlaw, and Evan Engram. They may not be done, according to Brad Gagnon of Bleacher Report, who linked them to free-agent wide receiver Elijah Moore, writing:

A former early-second-round pick with elite speed can still offer plenty in this league, especially considering that Moore just turned 25. It hasn't panned out in New York or Cleveland, but in his defense, that was New York and Cleveland. He's been tied to the Raiders, who make the most sense as a team that needs a field-stretcher for Geno Smith. The Broncos, Cardinals, Rams and Giants also make sense.

Moore has spent four seasons split between the New York Jets and Cleveland Browns after the former selected him 34th overall in the 2021 NFL Draft. While he has not been the star wide receiver that many expected him to be, he has consistently produced.

The 2020 consensus All-American has recorded 2,162 receiving yards and nine touchdowns on 200 receptions in 61 career games. He has added 71 rushing yards and a touchdown on 20 carries.

While Moore has never had more than 640 receiving yards in a single season, he has also never had less than 446. Denver ranked just 20th in passing yards last season. The former second-round pick could have an opportunity to compete with Marvin Mims for targets behind Courtland Sutton.
