It’s still 0-0 in the Chelsea Tottenham game at Stamford Bridge, and one of the more notable moments in the first half came in the middle of the pitch. Moises Caicedo made a superb tackle to break down a Tottenham attack.
Kieran Gill of the Daily Mail is in that press box low down by the pitch at the Bridge, and he saw it all:
“Massive tackle from Moises Caicedo on Micky van de Ven. Wins the ball perfectly. While play continues, Caicedo turns around and seemingly shouts at Van de Ven: ‘Fuck off.'”

That’s the sort of thing we want in a game like this. It’s actually been a pretty sleepy game for the most part, but moments like this are what can get the crowd going and hopefully spark some energy into the Blues.

There was a scare with Caicedo’s hamstring early on, and we even saw potential replacement Reece James warming up. But in the end he wasn’t needed, thank God. We hope that Caicedo has shaken off that issue and isn’t putting himself at any risk here. Losing him would be the one thing worse than losing Nicolas Jackson or Cole Palmer as we enter the crucial run of games that will decide out Champions League fate for next season.
UPDATE: The Blues now have the lead, let’s pray they can hold onto it. We’ve seen them drop points from winning positions countless times this season.
Caicedo has also now been further involved, with the foul on him from Pape Sarr being what ruled out the Spurs equaliser. This then led to him getting accused of diving from the opposition.
What a machine he is. That must seal his player of the year award, no?
