Chelsea’s team is full of talent, and that was clear to see from the side that Enzo Maresca put out against Tottenham Hotspur.
Chelsea‘s starting XI consisted of the likes of Cole Palmer, Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez and Nicolas Jackson, who are all quality players.
Palmer and Jackson were available for the game after injuries and have been two of the Blues’ best performers this season.
Possessing so much quality, it can be easy for some members of Maresca‘s squad to go under the radar, and that includes Trevoh Chalobah.

Trevoh Chalobah’s passing against Tottenham
With Wesley Fofana joining Romeo Lavia on the sidelines after yet another injury problem, Chalobah was given a start against Tottenham at Stamford Bridge.
And in the first half especially, the 25-year-old did not disappoint. He almost helped the Blues to take the lead less than a minute into the game.
A terrific long ball from Chalobah saw Nicolas Jackson hit the post after a ricochet, which was a reminder of the central defender’s passing ability.
His long passing in general was quite accurate on the night. In total, Chalobah completed four out of the seven long balls he attempted.

Ultimately, with a lot of young modern-day coaches hell-bent on their centre-halves being good in possession, Chalobah could be a great fit for a lot of teams and showed that against Spurs.
Chelsea could sign Marc Guehi or another centre-back this summer, so Chalobah could become redundant at Stamford Bridge. But there are probably several clubs in the Premier League that would take him.

What Trevoh Chalobah’s teammate thinks about him
Coming through the Chelsea academy, Noni Madueke has described Chalobah as “Chelsea through and through”.
“He was unbelievable: leadership, character, bravery on the ball,” Madueke was quoted as saying by Chelsea’s official website after Chalobah’s first game for the Blues this season.
“The system from the manager is difficult to play and he slotted in seamlessly. I’m really delighted for him. It’s not a coincidence players like him and Reece [James] are back in and we won the game [against Wolverhampton Wanderers in January]. They’re Chelsea through and through and they helped us with their leadership for sure.”
Had Chalobah been owned by Crystal Palace, Bournemouth or another English side, Chelsea would probably be all over him this summer. Instead, it looks like they are going to sell him.
The Chelsea Chronicle was told in January that Chalobah is not in the club’s long-term plans.
