Draymond Green interviewed with Malika Andrews of ESPN on Thursday before the Golden State Warriors-Los Angeles Lakers game, and as expected, the Michigan State product brought up LeBron James.
When Andrews asked Green who the Warriors want to face in the 2025 playoffs, Green said Golden State's matchups against LeBron are "cinematic."
The Warriors are in fifth place in the West, while the Lakers are in third place.
If the regular season ended today, Golden State would face the Denver Nuggets in the first round of the 2025 playoffs and Los Angeles would take on the Minnesota Timberwolves.
LeBron and the Lakers eliminated Green and the Warriors in the second round of the 2023 playoffs in six games.
Los Angeles enters Thursday's game 3-0 against Golden State this season.
The Warriors and LeBron's Cleveland Cavaliers faced each other in four straight NBA Finals in 2015, 2016 and 2017 and 2018. Golden State won the title in 2015, 2017 and 2018, while Cleveland won it all in 2016, becoming the first team in NBA history to erase a 3-1 series deficit in the NBA Finals.
The Lakers and Warriors may play each other in the first round of the 2025 playoffs since both teams still have multiple games left in the regular season and the final standings in the West haven't been set yet.
If LeBron and Luka Doncic face off against Green and Steph Curry in the playoffs, that series would certainly be must-see TV.
