Since Arizona Cardinals star tight end Trey McBride completed his third regular season, he is eligible to negotiate and sign a contract extension this offseason. McBride is coming off a breakout third season, boasting career highs in receptions, targets, and receiving yards and earning his first Pro Bowl selection. He hauled in 111 receptions on 147 targets for 1,146 yards and two touchdowns in 16 starts.

As previously discussed on Gridiron Heroics in February, the Cardinals were looking to extend Trey McBride this offseason and make him one of the highest-paid tight ends in the NFL. The tight-end market has been stuck between the $15 to $17 million range for quite some time as Travis Kelce is currently the highest paid at $17.125 million APY.
“The Cardinals hope to re-sign star tight end Trey McBride this offseason,” Fowler said. “The TE market has been stuck in that $15-$17 million per-year range for a while now, but perhaps McBride can change that with 192 catches since 2023.”
