Moises Caicedo thought he had struck a fine second for the Blues before a lengthy VAR check denied him, while the officials believe he was fouled in the build up to what Spurs believed was their equaliser.
Fernandez was our Man of the Match, however he was certainly backed up with the performances of some of his teammates around him.
The manager was able to welcome back a number of crucial players for the key London derby, where they were able to return to the top four after claiming all three points.

Chelsea fans at Stamford Bridge fuming with Jadon Sancho
Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson were both named in the starting side, while there was a timely return to action for Noni Madueke in the second half.
The former Spurs academy man replaced Jadon Sancho off the bench, whose poor run in front of goal continued as he failed to find the net again.
Sancho has been criticised lately for his performances in a Blue shirt, however he was given the nod on the wing for the huge game at Stamford Bridge.

Sky Sports‘ Peter Smith claimed that supporters inside the stadium were showing their frustration at the winger for his lack of urgency in the final third.
He said: “The Chelsea fans aren’t happy with Sancho. They’re imploring him to shoot as space opens up for him in the box but twice in quick succession he looks for a pass and gives the ball away instead. His lack of confidence to unleash is clear. He’s not scored since the reverse fixture in December.”

Jadon Sancho’s Chelsea future
Despite being on loan with an obligation to buy at the end of the season, there are no guarantees Sancho is a Chelsea player in the upcoming campaign.
The Blues have the option to pay a small fee to not sign Sancho, with them surely not fully satisfied with what they have seen from him this season.
They will be welcoming exciting attackers Estevao Willian and Kendry Paez this summer, only making Sancho’s position harder to justify for next season.
