Chelsea fans are upset by what Jadon Sancho showcased in their match against Tottenham Hotspur today (April 3). He notably wasted a number of good opportunities in the Blues’ 1-0 victory over Spurs at Stamford Bridge.
The Manchester United loanee found himself in advanced areas regularly but lacked the precision to have real impact on the night. In the 27th minute, Sancho chose to backheel to Marc Cucurella when he could have taken a shot from Neto’s cross.
Shortly after that, another loose ball landed invitingly at his feet in the box, but again, he opted to pass up a shot. His hesitance in the final third was frustrating, and his only real attempt was a shot at the far post just before halftime. It was a big chance that he should have buried,
Sancho’s was reduced to a single shot on target from two attempts. He didn’t complete any of his dribbles, and in seven duels, he won just one. For a player of his profile, it was a night when confidence and conviction were in short supply. After the match, fans took to social media to express their dissatisfaction with Sancho’s performance, sharing posts like these:
Sancho has mastered the art of looking busy while doing absolutely nothing.

Chelsea Edge Spurs in London Clash to Reclaim Top-Four Spot
Chelsea defeated Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 in their derby at Stamford Bridge, and the result put the Blues back in the Premier League’s top four. The matchwinner was Enzo Fernandez, who sprinted between defenders to meet Cole Palmer’s arrowed cross with a crashing header in the 50th minute.
The hosts threatened to add a second soon after, with Moises Caicedo blasting a volley past Guglielmo Vicario. However, VAR had a say after an offside involvement from Levi Colwill in the lead-up. Mere minutes later, however, Spurs had their equalizer disallowed for a foul on Moises Caicedo.
Both teams fashioned late opportunities, with Son Heung-min and Micky van de Ven both missing chances for the visitors. The match was extended into more than 12 minutes of stoppage time due to the VAR checks and other stoppages. However, Chelsea held onto their lead to win.
