Premier League LIVE: Postecoglou claims VAR is‘killing the game’, Chelsea back into top four after chaotic London derby, Gabriel out for season

'Killing the game'

Ange Postecoglou has launched a rant at VAR after Pape Matar Sarr's equaliser was ruled out following a long check.

The Spurs boss took aim at the technology when speaking post-match, angrily explaining the incident.

"It's killing the game, mate," Postecoglou said. "It's not the same game it used to be. You just don't know what you're going to get.

"You stand there for 12 minutes, but nobody cares, they like the drama and controversy and I'm sure there'll be 24-hour coverage.

"If the referee needs to see that for six minutes, tell me what's clear and obvious about that, mate?

"Clear and obvious, if you have to watch something a few times, is that clear and obvious?

"The referee didn't see it, then sees it for six minutes.

"That's why the game is going the way it is. I guess people like you [reporter] will be happy sitting on your couch for six minutes."
