The NFL draft is about three weeks away, meaning prospect scouting is just about concluded after some intriguing pro days. Some players are set in stone on the general range experts believe they will land, while other players are still gliding around draft boards.
With even more rumors swirling about certain players, mock drafts are only getting harder and requiring more critical thinking on what all the rumors are indicating. That means making a mock draft that feels right is only getting more difficult. It is not a certainty, but things should clear up more as the draft gets closer.
To make matters even more difficult, this mock draft includes trades, unlike some of the previous ones. Here is an updated mock for the entire first round with predicted trades, otherwise known as NFL Mock Draft 4.0.
1. Tennessee Titans - Cam Ward, QB, Miami
As usual, Ward goes number one given he is the clear top quarterback in this year's class. The Titans need to replace Will Levis and have an easy opportunity to do so in this year's draft.
2. Cleveland Browns - Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado
Rumors are indicating Sanders may fall in the draft, but it is hard to believe the Browns passing on him when they currently have just Kenny Pickett as a healthy quarterback option. A trade down is possible, but sticking and taking the quarterback seems like the more straightforward option.
3. New York Giants - Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado
The Giants need both CB and WR help, so picking Hunter makes a lot of sense. Even if Abdul Carter is believed to be the better prospect, Hunter is arguably just as good and fits their needs more.
4. New England Patriots - Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn St.
The Patriots already improved the defense drastically, and Carter may be the final piece in making them a top unit. If Carter lives up to the hype, the team will have a great front seven and secondary that could form a cohesive group that will be hard to move the ball on.
5. Jacksonville Jaguars - Mason Graham, DT, Michigan
It is easy to move Graham to later in mock drafts to be different, but this mock will be sticking to what will most likely happen. The Jaguars picking Graham makes too much sense, so no reason to expect otherwise.
6. Las Vegas Raiders - Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise St.
While an argument can be made the Raiders need to address other needs before running back, Jeanty is the best player available and fills a specific need for the Raiders. It will be hard for them to pass him up here.
7. New York Jets - Armand Membou, OT, Missouri
The Jets have two clear needs at right tackle and tight end, so picking between Membou and Warren may come down to a coin flip. Both would help the team out tremendously, but a top offensive lineman is harder to find beyond the first round.
8. Carolina Panthers - Jalon Walker, LB/EDGE, Georgia
The Panthers could use help at wide receiver, but defense is more of a priority. They take the best defender available on the board in Walker, who has great potential with his athleticism and versatility.
9. New Orleans Saints - Will Campbell, OL, LSU
The Saints have plenty of directions they can go, but taking an offensive lineman with potential versatility is usually a good move. Add on Campbell being potentially the top overall player left on the board, and this pick makes a lot of sense.
10. Chicago Bears - Tyler Warren, TE, Penn St.
The Bears have Cole Kmet already making tight end not a huge need, but given the potential creative aspect Warren can provide Ben Johnson on offense, this would be an interesting pick. Warren's elite blocking and versatility could provide a new dynamic.

11. San Francisco 49ers - Jihaad Campbell, LB/EDGE, Alabama
With the 49ers losing a ton of pieces on defense, they settle for a linebacker who can replace Dre Greenlaw and help regain the team's identity with elite linebackers. Campbell's versatility should also help the defense a lot.
12. Dallas Cowboys - Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona
The Cowboys need to help out CeeDee Lamb, and after adding Joe Milton via trade, the team could use a long-term wide receiver as well. McMillan's size would be a great complement to Lamb's speed and versatility.
13. Miami Dolphins - Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas
Another player with defensive versatility, Barron can line up in multiple spots for the Dolphins' defense to help support Jalen Ramsey and company on the back end. Barron could help replace Jevon Holland at safety along with helping on the perimeter and in the slot.
14. Indianapolis Colts - Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan
The Colts once again select a tight end in a mock, but Anthony Richardson is in dire need of one to help him develop. Loveland is a great receiving tight end who can add a new dynamic to this offense that already has solid weapons on the outside.
15. Atlanta Falcons - Shemar Stewart, EDGE, Texas A&M
Stewart is a very raw prospect but has great potential given his incredible athleticism. The Falcons have struggled to rush the passer for years, and hope Stewart can develop into a solution on the edge.
16. Arizona Cardinals - Will Johnson, CB, Michigan
The Cardinals need help in the secondary so they select Johnson, whose injury status is still a bit unknown in terms of how it will affect his final draft stock. Slotting him in the middle of the first round seems about right for now.
17. Cincinnati Bengals - Mike Green, EDGE, Marshall
The Bengals are still unsure about the status of Hendrickson and a potential extension. That makes adding an edge rusher an even greater need than it already is, making selecting Green, arguably the best rusher on the board, a smart pick.
18. Seattle Seahawks - Kelvin Banks Jr., OL, Texas
The Seahawks have a huge need on the offensive line, so Banks falling to them at 18 is probably their ideal pick. Banks has the potential to play both tackle and guard, so he can slot in wherever the team thinks they need him more.
19. New York Giants (via Tampa Bay Buccaneers) - Jaxon Dart, QB, Ole Miss
It is unclear if Dart will be a first-round pick or not, but in this mock, he is after a big trade up from the Giants. After quarterbacks went top two, the Giants were left in need of one, so jumping the Steelers to select Dart is their best option.
20. Denver Broncos - Omarion Hampton, RB, North Carolina
The Broncos are a great up-and-coming team and in a great position to compete for the AFC West despite the presence of the Kansas City Chiefs. That makes adding a running back like Hampton an interesting move.
21. Pittsburgh Steelers - Walter Nolen, DT, Ole Miss
The Steelers would prefer a Jaxon Dart or Omarion Hampton, but after both being sniped, they have to settle for a defensive tackle. Nolen is one of many talented defensive tackles in this year's draft class, being both a great run-stopper and potential pass rusher.
22. Los Angeles Chargers - Kenneth Grant, DT, Michigan
The Chargers need help to stop the run, so they also select an interior defensive lineman. Head coach Jim Harbaugh taking a Michigan player would also make a lot of sense to fill a big need on defense.
23. Green Bay Packers - Malaki Starks - S, Georgia
In what is a lacking wide receiver draft class, the Packers instead decide to select the best defensive player one the board in Starks. He should help out what is an interesting secondary with Jaire Alexander's future status unknown.
24. New England Patriots (via Minnesota Vikings) - Josh Simmons, OL, Ohio St.
The Vikings seem like a clear trade down candidate having just four picks. The Patriots are desperate for a left tackle, trading up above both the Texans and Rams who also could use offensive line help.
25. Houston Texans - Grey Zabel, OL, North Dakota St.
The Texans will likely just take the best offensive lineman available with this pick. They did sign Cam Robinson, so they are fine taking a guy in Zabel who is more likely a guard or center in the NFL than a tackle.
26. Los Angeles Rams - Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio St.
Adding Egbuka to a receiving core of Puka Nacua and Davante Adams would be incredible for Sean McVay. Egbuka can start off in the slot primarily and move outside more when Adams gets older and the team moves on from him.

27. Baltimore Ravens - Donovan Ezeiruaku, EDGE, Boston College
The Ravens' most significant need is in the secondary, but with no clear options to choose at the corner, they settle for the best pass rusher on the board in Ezeiruaku. More pass rush is the next best way to help out the pass defense.
28. Detroit Lions - James Pearce Jr., EDGE, Tennessee
The Lions follow a similar route as the Ravens, taking the best available pass rusher available in Pearce. Pearce has been a volatile prospect throughout the draft process, so it wouldn't be surprising if he went much higher or much lower than this.
29. Las Vegas Raiders (via Washington Commanders) - Matthew Golden, WR, Texas
The Raiders are known for drafting speed, and trade up to get it this time around. Golden had a great showing at the combine and fills a huge need for the team that they passed on addressing with the sixth pick.
30. Buffalo Bills - Derrick Harmon, DT, Oregon
The Bills are a great, well-rounded roster, but could use help on the interior. Harmon may be the best player available at this spot anyway, making this a great pick for them for multiple reasons.
31. Kansas City Chiefs - Donovan Jackson, OL, Ohio St.
The Chiefs need help on the offensive line and could use the versatility of a guy like Jackson. Versatility is a common theme of this mock and a big reason why certain players are going higher than others in this mock.
32. Philadelphia Eagles - Luther Burden III, WR, Missouri
With the potential tush push ban, the Eagles may emphasize the passing game more next season, and a great way to do that would be to take a slipping receiver in Burden. Burden is dynamic after the catch and can play both in the slot and wide.
