The ping pong balls have fallen into place, and the NBA Draft lottery has been set.
On Monday night, the league held its annual draft lottery, with the Dallas Mavericks improbably earning the top overall pick in next month's two-round draft. The complete order for the 2025 NBA Draft is now set, and with the draft combine taking place this week in Chicago, it means we're inching closer to this summer's draft — which will take place June 25-26 in Brooklyn, New York.
For the first time since 2018, Oklahoma will not only have a player selected; the Sooners will have one selected in the first round, and likely among the top several picks in this year's draft, as Jeremiah Fears is widely viewed as one of the premier prospects in the class. The 18-year-old point guard flourished during his lone season at Oklahoma, leading the team in scoring (17.1 points per game) and assists (4.1 per game) while also finishing as the team's third-leading rebounder (4.1 per game) and carrying the Sooners to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2021.

Fears is now set to join some rarefied air at Oklahoma, as he will be the 10th player in program history to be selected in the first round of the NBA Draft and likely the eighth lottery pick in OU history.
