Sir Jim Ratcliffe is facing mounting criticism at Old Trafford, with his cost-cutting regime continuing to frustrate staff and supporters alike.
The INEOS chief was recently slammed for refusing to let all club employees attend the Europa League final against Tottenham.

A decision seen as unnecessarily harsh and symbolic of the tightening financial grip around the club since his arrival.
Amid the growing discontent, the Glazer family are expected to soon hold the power to activate drag-along rights.
Thus, allowing them to compel minority shareholders – like Sir Jim to sell up if a full takeover offer comes in from a third party.
Sheikh Jassim could return due to clause in Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s agreement
As per The Express, this opens the door for Sheikh Jassim to potentially revive his previously withdrawn bid and force Sir Jim out.
That is unless the INEOS boss can match the valuation.
Despite pulling out last year, reports in December claimed Sheikh Jassim still harbours ambitions of a complete takeover and remains committed to Manchester United.
According to the Daily Mail, an advisor said: “Sheikh Jassim is still a rich guy.
“He is still a United fan… If the opportunity to buy the whole of Manchester United arose again… there [would be] a big level of interest.
“The plans are still there.”
Sheikh Jassim’s last known offer was around £4.79bn through his Nine Two Foundation, which included plans to wipe the club’s debt, delist United from the New York Stock Exchange, and unveil a fully funded new stadium project.

Ultimately, the Glazers opted for Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s £1.25bn investment for a 28.9% stake, valuing the club at over £5bn.
SEC filings later alleged Sheikh Jassim failed to provide full proof of funds, casting doubt over the legitimacy of his bid.
Sir Jim even joked during his first press conference: “Nobody’s ever seen him, actually.
“The Glazers never met him… I’m not sure he exists!”
Still, the potential for Sheikh Jassim to return remains alive.
And if full takeover interest resurfaces, he could finally get the chance to buy out the Glazers – and force Sir Jim Ratcliffe to exit.
