Manchester United could offer Douglas Luiz a reprieve from his hell at Juventus in the summer transfer window, according to reports from Italy - with the Brazil international having had a torrid first year at the club following his move from Aston Villa last summer.
United are set to see Christian Eriksen leave in the upcoming market, and with the futures of Kobbie Mainoo and Casemiro both up in the air, potential targets must be looked at - with Luiz being a potential candidate to fit into their midfield after his Premier League exploits in recent years at Villa Park.

Luis has struggled since making the move from Aston Villa in the summer, although he has missed the second half of the campaign with injury. But his performances before the winter break weren't exemplary, and with just three top-flight starts to his name, that could open the door for a move back to the Premier League, with United being interested in fellow Serie A-based Brazilian Emerson from Atalanta.
Igor Tudor clearly doesn't have the former Manchester City star in his plans, with Luiz's last start being at the start of the calendar year against local rivals Torino, and a mere 27 minutes in Serie A since the start of March has massively impacted his time in Italy.
The former Villa star has stated how he misses Unai Emery's side, where he was dubbed 'world-class' - but United could steal a march and offer him an exit route from Turin.
There is no doubting Luiz's talent, with 10 goals and as many assists for Villa in all competitions last season, including nine goals in the Premier League and one in the Europa Conference League - and with an overall record of 175 appearances in the competition, his experience and nous could come in handy for Ruben Amorim, who has largely struggled since he moved to Old Trafford in November, with the Red Devils sitting just 16th in the Premier League in what is already their worst campaign in the tournament's history.
