Manchester City’s new home kit for the 2025/26 has been released - and will debut at the Club World Cup.

Manchester City have officially launched their new home and goalkeeper kits for the forthcoming 2025/26 season – and they feature a brand new look for the club’s famous sky blue shirts.

The kits, which were designed by Puma, were unveiled on Tuesday morning and are already available for fans to purchase online. The kit will debut at this summer’s Club World Cup, which starts in the United States in June.

The kit launch confirms a previous unofficial leak of the new jersey, implying that alleged details of the club’s third kit – which is set to be grey and neon green – may also prove to be accurate.

The new kit, which can be seen in the social media promo video above, features a white sash running diagonally across the shirt, a design which has only previously been seen on change kits in the past.

As well as a white sash, the kit has white sleeve ends and a flash of white inside the collar. The manufacturer’s logo and front-of-shirt sponsor are picked out in a darker blue.

The shorts will be white with flashes of sky blue and the socks are predominantly blue with black around the top. The club’s official launch article describes the new-look shirt as having been “reimagined for the new generation” while “bridging the gap between different generations of City fans.”

With the club confirming that the shirts will first be worn at the Club World Cup, a previous unofficial leak which suggested that the team would wear limited edition jerseys with a print of the ‘Poznan’ celebration have been proven to be false.

FIFA’s revamped summer showpiece pits City against Moroccan side Wydad AC, Emirati Pro League outfit Al Ain and Serie A’s Juventus in the group stage, and we’ll get our first look at the new shirt in action then, with the current 2024/25 jersey set to be worn through to the end of the current Premier League campaign.

Fan reaction as goalkeeper kits also unveiled ahead of new campaign

While there are no signs of the away or third jerseys as yet, two goalkeeper kits have also been released – the first-choice shirt, shown above, is green with a camo-style print design and flashes of orange and pink down either flank, while the change goalkeeper kit is pink with dark blue and cyan on the sides.

Although not yet available for purchase on the club’s website, social media posts have also shown details of the club’s pre-match and training kits for the coming season, with a sky blue and white ‘brushstroke’ pattern adorning both shirts and tracksuits.

Fan response to the new home shirts has been largely positive based on social media posts, although there were some detractors who disagreed with comments calling the new design “beautiful”, while a price of £85 for the adult kit drew some complaints. The goalkeeper kits, despite (or perhaps because of) their rather more colourful designs, also drew warm reviews from a majority of supporters commenting on social media posts.
