Knicks' Josh Hart Receives Unique Award From NBA During Celtics Series

The New York Knicks took a stranglehold on their Eastern Conference semifinals series against the Boston Celtics Monday night when they went up 3-1.

Now just one win away from advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals, the Knicks fanbase is ecstatic and buzzing with excitement.

One reason for the Knicks ' series lead is their tenacity on the boards.

In Game 4, that energy showed, as the Knicks once again came back from a double-digit deficit to earn the win.

Knicks' Josh Hart receives unique award

While Josh Hart may have only scored six points in their Game 4 win, his effort has been felt in this series. He finished with nine rebounds, the second-most on the team, two of them coming on the offensive glass.

Hart has always done some of the dirty work for the Knicks, particularly the rebounding and defending. In Game 1, he secured five offensive rebounds in New York's three-point win.

As a result, Hart is almost always on the floor, which is not uncommon for a Tom Thibodeau-coached team.

On Tuesday, Hart received the NBA's Minutes Champion trophy, awarded to the player who plays the most in the regular season.

Hart averaged 37.6 minutes per game this season, just 0.3 ahead of Phoenix Suns shooting guard Devin Booker.

It should be no surprise that Mikal Bridges finished third with 37 minutes per game and OG Anunoby fifth with 36.6 per game.

The Knicks will head back to Boston looking to put the final nail in the coffin. While unfortunate for the Celtics, the Knicks should have an easier time in Game 5 after it was announced Jayson Tatum underwent surgery to repair his Achilles tendon.
