It has not been a great second round for the Golden State Warriors thus far as they have fallen into a deep 3-1 hole in their series against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Warriors had a great start to the second round as they stole Game 1 on the road in Minnesota, but the Timberwolves have been able to pick up three consecutive victories, including both games in Golden State.
Because of this, the Warriors now face a win-or-go-home scenario in Game 5 on Wednesday night after they blew a lead in the fourth quarter of Game 4.
Of course, the main reason for Golden State’s struggles in the series is due to the injury suffered by their star point guard Stephen Curry.

Curry suffered a Grade 1 left hamstring strain early in the second quarter of Game 1 and he has been sidelined ever since.
The star guard is set to be reevaluated before Game 5 on Wednesday and while many fans are hoping hie is able to return with the Warriors in a must-win situation, that will not be the case.
Golden State has announced that Curry has been ruled out for Game 5 on Wednesday night.
Because of this, the Warriors are now put in a tough situation as they will once again be without their star player and they will need a victory to extend the series for Curry’s potential return in Game 6 on Sunday.
Despite this, the Warriors have struggled mightily on the offensive end without Curry as they not had most of their core step up.

Jonathan Kuminga has been the really only consistent piece for the Warriors in the series thus far and they will need others such as Jimmy Butler, Buddy Hield and Draymond Green to step up huge in Game 5 if they want a shot at having Curry return for Game 6.
If that does not happen, it is likely that the Warriors’ season will come to a disappointing end in the second round.
