Warriors Make Steph Curry Decision Before Game 5 vs. Timberwolves

The Golden State Warriors are in a hole in the second round.

Golden State is currently facing the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round of the NBA playoffs, down 3-1 in the series.

They're set to take on the Timberwolves in Game 5 on Wednesday at 9:30 p.m. ET.

While the Warriors entered the second round series with clear momentum, having defeated the Houston Rockets in the first round, they suffered a massive setback with an injury to Stephen Curry.

Curry was injured in Game 1 of the second round series. While the Warriors were able to obtain a victory in Game 1, they have suffered three straight losses.

As fans and media personnel await an update on Curry, NBA reporter Sam Gordon revealed that the Warriors guard has been ruled out for Game 5 of the series.

In Game 1, Curry played just 13 minutes against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Curry capped off the night with 13 points, one rebound and one assist.

So far this season, Curry has posted 24.5 points, 4.4 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game.

He's served as the Warriors leading scorer in a group of established veterans led by Curry, Draymond Green and Jimmy Butler.

The winner of a matchup between the Golden State Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves would face the winner of the Oklahoma City Thunder versus the Denver Nuggets.

The following teams remain in the Eastern Conference: the Boston Celtics, Indiana Pacers, New York Knicks and Cleveland Cavaliers.

While the Warriors certainly looked to be an NBA title contender after round one, the loss of Stephen Curry leaves a major hole to fill.
