Cavaliers drop game 5, bounced from playoffs

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A magical season ended in disappointment for the Cavaliers Tuesday, as they lost game 5 at home 114-105 to Indiana.

The Pacers take the series 4-1 and eliminate Cleveland from the NBA playoffs.

The Cavs lost all 3 home games in the series.

Donovan Mitchell, battling a sore ankle, scored 35 points for the Cavs in a losing effort.

Darius Garland, playing through pain in his toe, struggled to 11 points (4-16 FG).

Tyrese Haliburton led the Pacers with 29.

Cleveland went more than 7 minutes without a field goal in the 3rd as the Pacers built an 85-76 lead after three.

Haliburton hit five threes in the 2nd quarter, pulling Indiana to within 56-52 at the half.

Donovan Mitchell had 13 points in the opening frame as Cleveland led 31-19 after one.
