Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Credits Thunder Teammates After Game 5 Win

It was a back-and-forth matchup between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Denver Nuggets in Game 5.

The Nuggets looked like they were the dominant team all throughout the game, but the Thunder were able to have a dominant fourth quarter.

Denver led throughout the first three quarters, but they seemed to get tired and the Thunder capitalized off of it.

In the last 12 minutes of the game, Oklahoma City outscored Denver 34-19.

This would be enough for OKC to take the lead with 3:33 left in the fourth and never look back – eventually winning Game 5 with a score of 112-105.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder in scoring with 31 points and Lu Dort was able to step up big for the Oklahoma City in the fourth quarter.

He was able to score nine points in the final 12 minutes and help them push for the lead.

Dort wasn't the only player to help the Thunder win Game 5 as there were six different Thunder players that were able to score over 10 points in the game.

Gilgeous-Alexander spoke with reporter Stephanie Ready after the game and the MVP candidate made sure to shout out his teammates.

"You're only as good as your weakest link and all 10 of our guys are ready to go no matter the stage," SGA said after the game.

Fellow MVP candidate Nikola Jokic and Nuggets teammate Jamal Murray had a big game as well, combining for 72 of Denver's 105 total points.

Jokic, Murray and the Nuggets Game 5 loss puts them in a must-win scenario as the series score is now 3-2.

Now for the Thunder, they will look to keep their momentum and go for their third straight win as the Nuggets and Thunder travel back to Denver for Game 6.

In a game that can determine the series, their next matchup will take place on Thursday. May 15.
