The Freidkin Group have made several big decisions since they took the reins at Everton.

They chose to relieve Sean Dyche of his duties and replace him with David Moyes, which has proved to be a brilliant decision on the pitch.

Meanwhile, off the pitch, they have completely revamped the sporting structure with Angus Kinnear brought in to oversee the summer recruitment.

However, the latest decision on the future of Goodison Park may be their best since they completed their takeover.

Goodison Park decision made at Everton

Everton have announced that Goodison will become the new home of their Women’s team on a permanent basis.

MORE TOFFEES STORIES

Former Liverpool star Stan Collymore praised the new ownership for their decision and believes that it could benefit the L4 outfit.

In a post on his personal X account, he said: “Clever from Everton.

“Goodison stays on the ledger sheet, fans pining for the old place directly support the women’s game ( I guarantee every Everton fan will go at least once in the next 5 years), and the land value goes up every few years it’s used as a stadium.”

Everton supporters will be ecstatic with Goodison move

There is far too much history at Goodison for it to be knocked down and relegated to a piece of history and its legacy will now continue.

The move should also boost the following for the Women’s team, which is a nice bonus for the Blues supporters, especially if the tickets are available for the right price.

Comparison between Everton’s stadiums.

They can go and watch the Women’s Super League and the memories that they created in the famous old ground are still there.

The Men’s team are set to move to the Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium before the start of the new season but there is every reason for fans to return to their old stomping ground now.

It was the best possible outcome, as the Toffees need a bigger stadium, one that reflects their status as one of England’s biggest teams.

It should also help them to compete at the very top of the English game, given the boost in finances that it should eventually bring to the Blues with increased matchday income.

Hopefully, Moyes can take the 1995 FA Cup winners into a new era, one that is filled with success and joy rather than the potential of relegation misery that has haunted them in their final few years at their L4 home.
