As Liverpool enjoy their remaining games after sealing the Premier League title, Arne Slot and captain Virgil van Dijk have been spotted unwinding abroad after the recent draw with Arsenal.

Meanwhile, back in Liverpool, the backlash from supporters towards Trent Alexander-Arnold continues to make headlines, and now a Manchester United legend has stoked the flames by suggesting Jamie Carragher bears some responsibility for the uproar, accusing him of "stirring up" the fanbase with his remarks on the England defender, who is poised to join Real Madrid on a free transfer this summer.

It's understood that Liverpool are already making moves for a replacement with reports pointing towards Bayer Leverkusen's £30million-rated star Jeremie Frimpong. While backup keeper Caoimhin Kelleher may be heading to a Premier League rival.

Here, the Daily Star Sport looks at the latest Liverpool transfer news.

Frimpong 'advanced talks'

Liverpool are reportedly in 'advanced talks' with Bayer Leverkusen's Frimpong, seeing him as the ideal Alexander-Arnold replacement.

Slot will be looking to fill the void of Alexander-Arnold's exit. And Frimpong's impressive performance in Leverkusen's double-winning Bundesliga and German Cup campaign last season has clearly caught the attention of the Merseyside club.

The 24 year old, who is adept at playing as a traditional right-back or a wing-back, is set to depart the Bundesliga side this summer, facilitated by a release clause in his contract. Sky Germany suggests that Liverpool could secure his services for £30million.

Kelleher told to move

Newly promoted Leeds United have their sights set on Caoimhin Kelleher, with the Reds' second-choice goalkeeper being encouraged to seek regular playtime by national team manager Heimir Hallgrimsson.

Hallgrimsson stated: "I just want Caoimhin to go to a club where he will play. He has been playing at the highest level. Champions League, Premier League, done really well. I just want him to be happy and play regularly.

"I don't mind where he goes so long as he is playing on a regular basis, he is too good not to be playing.''

Yorke points the blame

Dwight Yorke has accused Carragher of "stirring up" Liverpool fans by criticising Alexander-Arnold's decision to leave Anfield, insisting the Sky Sports pundit doesn't understand the appeal of being pursued by Real Madrid.

The 26 year old upset Liverpool supporters last week when he announced his departure from his childhood club, leading many to label him disloyal. The full-back was then booed by home fans at Anfield on Sunday when he was brought off the bench against Arsenal.

The Anfield crowd aimed two digs at Alexander-Arnold, first with chants of: "There's only one Conor Bradley". Followed by singing the chant of their former captain Steven Gerrard.
