“I hope to achieve it”–Player desired by Arne Slot claims Liverpool are one of his dream clubs

Earlier this season, Liverpool were credited with interest in Feyenoord star Anis Hadj-Moussa. In December, La Gazette du Fennec reported Arne Slot was leading the Reds’ chase as he was fascinated by the striker.

Back in January, we covered claims from Africa that Liverpool head of recruitment Barry Hunter was leading talks to sign the 23-year-old.

Later that month, Foot Mercato stated the Merseyside club have a concrete interest in the Algeria international, but Feyenoord had blocked his exit until the end of this season.

Liverpool can make a fresh attempt in the summer window if they’re still keen on Hadj-Moussa. If they are still interested in player desired by Slot, Wednesday’s edition of Het Belang van Limburg gives them encouragement.

The Belgian newspaper published an interview with the frontman and asked if he has the ambition of making a jump to a top European league. When responding to that, Hadj-Moussa named the Premier League winners as one of his dream clubs.

“Of course, I hope to achieve it one day, but right now my focus is entirely on Feyenoord. If I keep doing well here, we’ll see what happens,” he said.

“My dream club? I think it’s great that I’m playing at Feyenoord now and I really want to be successful here. I also like to watch FC Barcelona.

“It’s a dream for every young footballer to one day play for big clubs like Barça, Real Madrid, Liverpool or Arsenal. But I have so many more dreams: winning AFCON with Algeria and going to the World Cup, for example.”

Hadj-Moussa arrived at Feyenoord last summer and has scored 11 goals and registered three assists from 41 games this season.
