I’ve watched Ipswich Town play in League One, the Championship and even the Leasing.com Trophy, yet the standard of officiating in the Premier League is one of the worst I’ve ever seen.
Now I’m not going to suggest our relegation is due poor refereeing, but we certainly haven’t been helped.
Ultimately Town haven’t been good enough and the fact we may find ourselves 20 points adrift from safety tells you all you need to know about how tough we’ve found it.

But the decisions from referees and so called ‘Video Assistant Referees’ have been shocking. It’s been a really unenjoyable experience.
Once again this was the main talking point from Town’s 1-0 loss to Brentford on Saturday. A decent enough game and one we probably deserved a point out of, but sadly yet again got nothing.
That was our eighth consecutive loss at home, which isn't good enough. I fully appreciate the standard of this division, but I must admit I'm really disappointed with our showing at home. I expected more.
That said, Saturday's performance was at least better than the one versus Arsenal and I'm still praying we may see just one more victory at home.
I'm ready for next season now. I think we all are and it felt bizarre going to Portman Road on Saturday knowing whatever happened didn't really have much jeopardy to it. Saying that, the atmosphere was still brilliant and one thing we should be proud of is how we've all stuck together as a fanbase.
It's not been easy. In fact, it's been pretty grim at times. But both home and away allocations continue to be packed and that does separate us from the other two we're going down with this season.
A fascinating summer awaits but before that, it's Leicester and West Ham to go – two teams on paper we should have a chance of beating.
I actually think this weekend is a big one for us. Beat the Foxes on their own patch then that gives us confidence about facing them against next season. Lose? Well, let's not even talk about that.
Two to go. A few more points at least please!
