Spotted: Man Utd duo miss training ahead of the Europa League final v Tottenham as footage…

Manchester United duo Matthijs de Ligt and Leny Yoro weren't involved in training on Wednesday as they prepare for the Europa League final v Tottenham Hotspur.

Although United still have Premier League games to play this season, their full attention will be on the Europa League final next week. The Red Devils are sitting in 17th place in the table in England's top flight, purely playing to finish as high as possible.

Lifting a trophy could help salvage a small silver lining this term, and Ruben Amorim will be desperate to ensure he has all his key stars available for the game against Spurs. Tottenham themselves have their own injury issues and are also struggling in the league.

Leny Yoro in action for Manchester United

Journalist Rich Fay has now posted a video of the United players emerging for training on Wednesday morning, and there was no sign of defensive duo De Ligt and Yoro.

It's unclear how far off De Ligt and Yoro are from returning to training, but it's certainly not ideal for Amorim with the Europa League final just seven days away. United's final game before the crucial match is against Chelsea in the Premier League on Friday, and it seems the duo have little chance of being available for that one.

De Ligt missed United's previous game against West Ham United after picking up an injury against Brentford, while Yoro was substituted during the clash with the Hammers. Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, Noussair Mazraoui and Luke Shaw all featured in the game and appear to be United's only fit options at the back as it stands.

It will be interesting to see the strength of the side that Amorim puts out on Friday against Chelsea. Although the Portuguese manager will want to avoid injuries to key players again, he won't want his regular starters to lose any momentum.
