Jeremie Frimpong’s potential move to Liverpool will hand Celtic millions should the move go through this summer.
The former Celtic full-back was a very popular player amongst the fans as his infectious enthusiasm and love of football shone through when wearing the green and white Hoops.
Frimpong was part of the Celtic first-team that won the record-breaking Quadruple Treble and the young Dutch defender’s post-match press conference captured the hearts of the Hoops support.
However, now at Bayer Leverkusen after leaving Celtic for over £11m, a move to Liverpool is being hotly tipped and talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook delivered a big update on the rumour today.

Celtic hero Jeremie Frimpong’s Liverpool move not ‘quite as advanced’
Speaking to Alan Brazil, Crook appeared to pour a little bit of cold water on the speculation after the Celtic-supporting radio host said he was delighted his club stood to cash in on the transfer.
Brazil said on talkSPORT [5m 30s], “One of the big stories which I’m interested in is Frimpong at Bayer Leverkusen. He could be heading to Liverpool to give Celtic £5.5m. Very nice.”
Crook replied, “Yeah, I think it’s a possibility. I don’t think this is quite as advanced as maybe some reporters are suggesting.
“He’s certainly high on Liverpool’s list of potential targets. I think they’ve got a decision to make. Do they sign a senior right-back in the Frimpong mould or give Conor Bradley the opportunity to make that spot his own.”
