Ryan Giggs has now admitted that one first-team Manchester United player “needs to find a place” where he can “reach the levels he is capable of” in football.
Manchester United only have three matches remaining across all competitions in their 2024-25 campaign before their season comes to an end in May.
The Red Devils suffered their 17th Premier League defeat of their lacklustre campaign on Sunday after United were beaten 2-0 by West Ham at Old Trafford.
West Ham’s victory over United on the weekend ensured that the Hammers climbed above the Red Devils in the Premier League table with only two matches remaining.
United are now 16th in the Premier League table and the Red Devils are only a point ahead of 17th-place Tottenham and a single point behind 15th-place West Ham.
The Red Devils’ main focus is their European campaign this season and United have reached the Europa League final and will face Tottenham on 21st May in Spain.
United are unable to secure their route back to Europe through their Premier League campaign and the Red Devils must lift the Europa League trophy to make it happen.

Man Utd icon Ryan Giggs drops his true feelings on Aston Villa player Marcus Rashford and the England star’s potential
Marcus Rashford signed for Aston Villa during the January transfer window after the Manchester United loanee fell down the pecking order under Ruben Amorim.
The 27-year-old United forward’s form had fallen off a cliff at Old Trafford and he had struggled to put his career back on track at the Premier League club.
Aston Villa did not have to pay a loan fee for Marcus Rashford back in February and the Premier League side are reportedly covering the majority of his United wages.
Ryan Giggs was assistant manager under Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford when the former United manager handed Rashford his first-team debut for the Red Devils.
Speaking to the Webby & O’Neill YouTube channel, Giggs was asked for his feelings on Rashford amid the England and United star’s loan spell at Villa this season.
When he was asked if Rashford still possessed the quality to play for Barcelona and alongside the likes of Lamine Yamal, the United legend’s position was clear.
“Marcus can play in any team. He has shown the quality he has got,” he said.
“For some reason, it just hasn’t happened the last few years at United.
“When I was playing my best football, it was because I was free, I was expressing myself, enjoying myself.
“It didn’t look like that when Marcus was here. He needs to find a place where he was loved and can reach the levels he is capable of.”

Man Utd star Marcus Rashford is putting his career back on track at Aston Villa under Unai Emery
Aston Villa do have the option to buy Marcus Rashford for a £40m transfer fee if the Premier League club want to extend his stay at Villa Park beyond his loan spell.
Rashford has impressed at times at Villa Park and the United attacker has become a key player for Villa manager Unai Emery in the second half of the season.
The United star has netted four times and picked up six assists in his 17 matches for Villa before Rashford was dealt a blow by picking up a hamstring injury in April.
Unai Emery is hopeful that Rashford, whose loan spell ends in June, will be able to feature again for Villa before the end of the 2024-25 Premier League campaign.
Rashford is under contract with United until 2028 and the Villa forward’s future at Old Trafford remains uncertain under Red Devils boss Amorim.
