Fans Saddened by Donovan Mitchell's Behavior After Game 5 Loss

The season is officially over for Donovan Mitchell.

This is after the Cleveland Cavaliers suffered a heartbreaking 114-105 loss to the Indiana Pacers in Game 5 of their second-round NBA playoffs series.

The Cavs failed to defend their home court on Tuesday night, as the Pacers secured an impressive win to close out the series, 4-1, and book their spot in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Mitchell did all he could for Cleveland, dropping a game-high 35 points, with nine rebounds, an assist, four steals, a block and four triples in 38 minutes of action. The six-time All-Star did all that while playing through an ankle injury that he sustained in their Game 4 loss.

Several photos of Mitchell after the game are currently making their rounds on social media. In them, the Cavs superstar is seen sitting on the bench by himself after the fans had already cleared out of Rocket Arena.

Fans could not help but feel sad after seeing Mitchell's post-game behavior.

"man this hurts," a comment on X read.

"I feel bad for the guy. He deserves more than this (expletive)," said another.

"Damn this one hurt," a supporter reacted.

"Donovan Mitchell came back out after the game, sat on the bench one last time to soak it all in. Heartbreaking end to the season for the Cavs. 😔💔" a post read.

"Damn this make me sad gang ngl," admitted a user.

For what it's worth, Mitchell averaged 34.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 2.2 steals and 2.4 triples in the Pacers series.

It still wasn't enough.
