Ange Postecoglou could make five changes to his Tottenham starting 11 as they prepare to face Aston Villa in their penultimate league game of the season.

Tottenham are well aware that their priority from now until the end of the season is the Europa League final, though that will do little to excuse their recent form domestically.

Off the back of a 2-0 defeat at home to Crystal Palace, Spurs have failed to win any of their last five Premier League encounters, and the lack of momentum heading into their Europa League final with Manchester United is worrying.

With that in mind, Postecoglou may look to shake up his XI in a bid to get his side back on track and back to their best.

Tottenham to make five changes v Aston Villa

Tottenham were nowhere near their best against Crystal Palace, and much of that will come down to the lack of quality that Postecoglou had on the pitch, which could change this weekend.

Djed Spence, Ben Davies and Pedro Porro may all be benched in favour of a return for Destiny Udogie and Micky van de Ven, with Archie Gray moving back into a right-back position.

Gray struggled in midfield last time out, completing just 71 per cent of his 31 attempted passes, while completing just one of his four long balls. [FotMob]

His move could see Yves Bissouma return to the midfield, with Rodrigo Bentancur and Pape Sarr expected to form the trio in the middle of the pitch.

Bentancur was another who struggled against Palace, registering just 10 passes and winning just 1 of his four defensive duels.

Mikey Moore to return to Tottenham XI

Wilson Odobert struggled to create last time out, but he could retain his place in the starting 11, with Mathys Tel dropped for Mikey Moore.

Tel’s loan hasn’t gone to plan at Tottenham, and should he be dropped against the Villans, there is a slim chance that he has played his final game. Despite completing 75 per cent of his four dribbles, he failed to offer anything of note in the final third against Palace.

Only 67 per cent of his attempted passes reached their desired target, in a very underwhelming display.

With Dejan Kulusevski ruled out with injury, Dominic Solanke could return to the starting 11 with hopes of getting back on the score sheet.
