Liverpool players have been given extra time off after winning the Premier League last month

Liverpool players are currently staying at a luxurious Dubaihotel as the squad's title celebrations continue. Liverpool were confirmed as Premier League champions on April 27 after beating Tottenham Hotspur 5-1.

Since then, head coach Arne Slot has given his players some extra time off between the remaining games to celebrate after a hard season. Since claiming the title Liverpool have lost 3-1 away at Chelsea and drew 2-2 with second-placed Arsenal on Sunday.

With their next game on Monday away at Brighton and Hove Albion, several of the players have gone on holiday together to the United Arab Emirates.

Footage shared by fans on social media showed Anfield stars had headed to Atlantis The Royal, a luxury hotel in Dubai. Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Dominik Szoboszlai and Mo Salah have been pictured strolling through the hotel.

Reported to be one of the finest hotels in the world, lavish suites at Atlantis The Royal can set guests back from £598 to £1,000 per night when booked at short notice.

One room, the Skyscape Penthouse, boasts a large terrace with an infinity pool, a jacuzzi and views of the Arabian Sea. The most expensive hotel room is the Royal Mansion, a four-bedroom, split-level penthouse

This suite features an 11,840-square-foot space, a 476-square-foot terrace with an infinity pool, and amenities like a private foyer with olive trees, an outdoor kitchen, and a 12-seater dining room.

This costs around $100,000 a night, equivalent to around £74,920. It is not clear which rooms the Liverpool players have been staying in. The players have also been spending time on a luxury yacht off the coast of the United Arab Emirates.

Although Liverpool have two games to play before the end of the season, many fans on X/Twitter were supportive of the players taking a break after their victorious season. One said: “Well deserved break champions.”

Another said: “It's not like after pretty much a year of football for some of the players that a few days off won't do them good. We won the league regardless of the points total.”

A third supporter added: “Slot really wants to give the player rewards for their hard work for this season, so they know if they're working hard next season they'll get the same.” A fourth person said: “I love this team.” A fifth added: “They earned it.”

Slot is currently out of the country himself. With his side not back in action until they face Brighton & Hove Albion next Monday, Slot has taken the opportunity to head to the Balearic Islands in Spain.

In various posts on social media, the Dutchman can be seen being welcomed onto the Ocean Beach stage with Queen's 'We Are the Champions' playing, while a group of women held up cards that read 'Champions!'

Later on in some clips, 'Freed From Desire' begins to play, while in an Instagram story posted by former EastEnders actor Dean Gaffney, Slot can be seen enjoying the atmosphere in one of Ibiza's most famous clubs.

The caption to the video read: "Eagle eyed viewers will spot a certain Premiership winning manager," accompanied by two eyes emojis and a heart emoji.

Owner of the club, Wayne Lineker, also posted a picture of himself with Slot on Instagram, with the caption reading: “Caption this #ynwa”, accompanied by a heart and clap emoji.

Lineker also posted a video of the Liverpool boss making his way to the DJ booth, with the caption: “No words. What a day.” Liverpool will lift the Premier League trophy after the final game of the season against Crystal Palace at Anfield on May 25. The parade will take place the following day, running from Allerton Maze to The Strand.
